Pansies

Life Happens!  Sorry it has taken me so long to get this posted. I have had the nasty bug, prom, graduation, 3 photo shoots, parties and everyday life.  Things have finally slowed down so here are the paper pansies I made from my inspiration.

I had such fun making these.  I used inks, water colors and color blast to color these. I also tried my trusty dryer sheets to make these.  Really didn't like the dryer sheets as much as the paper ones. I cut out hearts with my Art Philosophy cartridge, you can use any size. I cut mine at 1 and 1 1/2 inches. I used five hearts for each flower. Three whole ones and two half ones.  You will also need a circle to adhere them too. Size of circle depends on the size of hearts you use. You need to cut a little bit off of the tips of your hearts. I colored mine and then used a bone folder and stylus to shape each one.  You can use a quick dry paper glue, glue dots, or double sided tape to adhere the hearts to your circles.  I added the top two first and overlapped them, then I added the two halves next and the bottom one last.  I cut the leaves free handed.  You could use a punch, cricut, or dies to cut your shapes.  Then add a center...I used buttons, pearl brads, and a paper punched heart .

Add a little shading and vein lines with a marker and you are done.  I also shaped the leaves and added a little ink to add some texture to them.  I really like the way they turned out. I want to try some smaller ones . . . . think they would be cute.

These two are my favorite.

I hope you liked this post and that you give them a try. Would love to see what you make.  Please post your "pretty pansies" in the comments below.  Please like, comment and share this post if you enjoyed it.

Hope you guys avoid the "bug" and enjoy the celebrations in your life. Here's a picture of my Beautiful granddaughter for Senior Prom and Graduation.  Seems like yesterday that we were having tea parties and playing dress up.
