Fun in Charlotte

Three days at CKC in Charlotte was busy...busy...busy.  We took classes, attended crops and of course shopped on the vendors floor.  Can you believe a hobby like scrapbooking generates this much product (only a small sample I'm sure).  Of course we set a budget....$$......we only went over a little.

 We stayed at Hampton Inn UpTown, only a couple blocks from the convention center. The weather was cool (like Fall) and we enjoyed our walks.  We only had rain on the last day.  This is a picture of the fog on top of one of the downtown buildings.  Beautiful!

I also learned about "More Fabulous Flowers with Amy Tangerine" and "Backgrounds by You" by Nicole Peterson Designs. Close to My Heart was represented by Dr. Phil (consultant with CTMH)   It was a truly fun filled weekend and I got to spend it with my Daughter.  If you ever get the chance you should go to this event.   Happy Crafting everyone!

Pajama Party

Just finished the online Pajama party with Big Picture Classes and Close To My Heart
What a great time.  I got to prop up in bed in my PJ's and watch Stacy and her friends share some great scrapbooking tips & ideas.  Lots of Fun...giveaways....scrapbookers.....project ideas.  A great project using the new CTMH Artbook cricut cartridge.  (Only available from CTMH)  I've been playing with my new cartridge & I love it.  Just set your size at 11", pick your paper & cut.  Everything  cuts to fit on your page no guessing, fast & easy. New Adventures

Hey everyone, as you can tell this blog is a work in progress!  I hope you will be patient as I learn the new world of becoming a blogger. 

 I am a scrapbooker and photographer. So I have lots of pictures.  I love telling the stories of my life & those of my family. To me making the connection between the pictures and the memories is what scrapbooking is all about.  There are many ways to scrapbook.  Close to My Heart has three levels of scrapbooking; Level one, Level two and Level  three.  Each level lets you tell your stories in different ways.
